Classes Switzerland A
detailed introduction to the physiologic and psychologic consequences
of perinatal and prenatal trauma and shock, Including various resolution,
integration, releasing and repatterning techniques. Class 1: Stage
1 of
Birth Devoted
to the exploration of early birth trauma, this class is best understood
after taking an Introduction Class. Following the pioneering work of Sills
and Emerson, the class focuses on the confirmation of each student's bodily
posture during the beginning of birth (the lie side) as well
as locating and discussing the significance of where on the body and cranium
deep somatic impacts were molded (trauma conjunct points and
conjunct pathways). Somatic biology of the perinate's body,
especially the cranium, is explained in the context of the initiation
of birth and the baby's environment relative to the mother's uterine contractions,
her cervix, and her pelvic inlet. The fetal cranium is typically one inch
larger in diameter than the pelvic inlet/outlet and considerable somatic
and psychological impacts are visited upon the baby during the birth process. Each
of the subsequent classes on birth follows much the same format as that
established in the first class. In the Stage 2 class we begin with the
description of the somatic biology of the baby's cranium, and what must
be undertaken for the birth to proceed. Stage one ends when the baby's
progress is halted by the ischial tuberosity bones (the sits bones) of
the mother. Humans are the only mammals that have to rotate their heads
to be born, and along with this necessity come considerable challenges
on a physical level. Each of the four basic maternal pelvic types is described
in this class. Depending upon the pelvic types of the mother and the depth
of descent of the baby into the pelvis, various Stage 2 or rotation styles
result: normal (anterior rotation), posterior rotation, zigzag process,
corkscrew, and sometimes turtling. These early and original
experiences create postural and movement patterns as well as psychological
consequences.
Class 3: Stage
3
of Birth Class 4: Stage
4 of Birth As if
the radical change in environment and biologic function is not impressive
enough, we are usually met with all kinds of painful interventions in
the moments immediately after we are born. This class describes how we
move from a uterine-dwelling prenate to a neonate suddenly needing to
breath, eat and defecate on our own in a louder, brighter, dryer, tactfully
more stimulating world. During this stage, which ought to be primarily
about tenderness, empathy and bonding, babies are often met with needle
stabs, invasive suction tubes, jelly smeared into the eyes, rough handling
and scrubbing, pre-mature cutting of the cord, weighing, measuring, probing
physical evaluations, and, unfortunately, isolation form the parents.

Foundation
Classes USA The health and wellbeing that we experience throughout our lives is deeply affected by the conditions we experience in the womb before we are born. These prenatal conditions, along with the events that occur during our birth, create the psychological template that governs many, if not most aspects of our lives. Some of the areas impacted include:
This introductory class is designed to provide an environment of safety, empathy and confidentiality. Structured periods of teaching explain the wide range of the impacts of prenatal and birth patterning on infants, adults and the culture at large. Time is then devoted to discovering your own prenatal and perinatal history, and exploring how this history plays out in current life situations. You can then participate in exercises which repattern these early events and free you from being stuck in life situations that no longer serve you. The class can also assist you in resolving shock and trauma that theses events can possibly create, thereby increasing your self-awareness, self-empowerment and consciousness. Further time is spent learning how to integrate these positive changes into your day-to-day life. This
introductory seminar serves as the prerequisite class for the Foundation
Training in the resolution of the consequences from pre and perinatal
impacts, but does not guarantee acceptance into the Foundation Training
series.
Birth Stage
I We all
experience moments in our life where there is nowhere to go -this is what
the beginning of birth is like. How we initiate, escape and endure are
all patterns that are set up in Stage I of birth. This class teaches the
psychological consequences that are likely to occur at the beginning of
birth. You will learn about various themes that originate from this stage.
In addition, you will have ample time to discover your relationship to
Stage I themes, how you were formed by this event and how you continue
to play out these themes in your day to day life.
Birth Stage
II Although the main themes of Stage II are about rotation, direction and choosing, Stage II is the stage of birth where the most unusual, unexpected and surprising impacts occur. These impacts affect the psyche in ways that only happen to human beings, because we are the only mammal that must rotate it's cranium to be born. This class teaches the basic themes, psychological consequences and patterns that result from Stage II. This class will give you a chance to explore your connection to your intuition, how you make choices and how you decide the direction you are going in your life.
Birth Stage
III & IV How we come out and are received in the world is one of the most important themes of Stages III & IV. Stage III sets up our relationship to endurance both physically and psychologically. Stage IV sets up how we are programmed by the environment into which we emerge. This class explores the psychological themes of these two stages and gives you a chance to resolve issues that were constellated by the dynamic powers of your own birth.
Introduction
to Prenatal Stages The latest developments
in embryology and biology are confirming our own experiences, which underscore
the undeniable affects of prenatal life. This class emphasizes seven of
the most important prenatal stages, each of which has life shaping impacts. All
Foundation classes will be held at the Consulate Healing Center East, |

Intermediate Classes Shock
and Shame are nefarious bedfellows, conspiring to diminish our joy and
the expression of our joy. From our conception to our birth we are at
risk for psychological and somatic programming of shame. Existential wounding
impacts us even at the soul level, but in truth, our shame can be a doorway
to joy and conscious engagement with vitality and life. This course begins
with a videotaped interview with Karlton, and a body mapping of how each
student's shame is held somatically. Research regressions to Conception
will be undertaken to discover how we absorbed ancestral shame. At the
level of the soul we embody shame to help shape the course of our life's
personal work. In connection with this concept, understanding why we chose
our parents is essential to understanding and outgrowing our Shame patterns.
Each student then participates in their own video feedback session to
help evaporate ancestral shame, and organize a plan for working with his
or her own residual shame during the rest of the class. To track the impacts
of shaming experiences, regressions are undertaken to Implantation, Discovery
and Birth. The final day is for resourcing and integration.
Practitioner
Shock Management This
course is designed to identify all our remaining shock places that we
need to address as practitioners. A finely tuned map of our shock body
and our shock reactivation style will be created. You will be fillmed
facilitating another class participant doing a regression (approx. 1 hour).
After the session, Karlton will help you analyze your facilitation style
and your activation of pre and perinatal shock patterns as they appear
somatically, in your thinking, intuition and your facilitation style.
Karlton may also suggest facilitation alternatives to you. In addition,
the video feedback will be a teaching session during which the other students
may ask questions.
